Laura Star | SR. Researcher Poultry Nutrition at Schothorst Feed Research
Dr. Laura Star studied Animal Science at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. After completing her graduate studies, she pursued Doctorate in Animal Science, also at Wageningen University, during which time she focused on poultry. After completing her doctorate, Dr. Laura Star started to work at Schothorst Feed Research as researcher on poultry nutrition, with focus on nutrition for layer birds. Star has been a researcher with Schothorst Feed Research for 9 years now. In addition to her research work at Schothorst, Dr. Laura Star is Lector at Aeres Hogeschool, Dronten, an Applied Agricultural University in the Netherlands, on the subject ‘Precision Feeding’.
Robin De Groof | BU MLP – IT Manager at ED&F Man Holdings
Robin started to work for Schuurmans & van Ginneken B.V. (SvG) in 1991 as an Accountant. He did the administration for subsidiaries of SvG for a couple of years and then became Finance Controller. In 1997 he moved part-time to IT and worked on business systems and the development of an ERP custom-built system. (ITAS). In 2004 Robin moved fully to IT and included IT in his working area. From March 2011 on, Robin took up the function of “MLP Business Unit IT Manager at E D & F Man Holdings B.V.” He is currently running a 6-member team in Amsterdam and a US-based team of 8 members. The US-based team is also responsible for the AX work.
Kristof Mertens | Managing Director at Porhyrio NV
Kristof Mertens is an Enterpreneur-Animal scientist-Data scientist with a mission to turn farm data into profit for livestock managers worldwide. Kristof is a grandson of a dairy farmer, a Master in Livestock Production and holds a PhD in Bioscience Engineering of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in which he focused on the design of an Early Warning System for Laying hens. Before co- founding Porphyrio in 2013, Kristof has been working for 10 years at MeBioS - KU Leuven. Besides his activities as MD of Porphyrio, he is an EU expert in the EIP focus group on Precision Agriculture.
Ben Lamberigts | Manager Quality, Research & Nutrition at Coppens International
Ben Lamberigts has a master’s degree in applied bioscience, option Plant and animal production. In 2010 he started working at Coppens International as aquafeed nutritionist. After 2 years he took up the position of Manager Quality, Research and Nutition. He provides leadership, support and advise to the employees of the department QRN (8 FTE). He has a special interest in developing feeds for existing and "new" species in aquaculture. He monitors and implements the guidelines established for internal and external producers in terms of product specifications, hygiene and delivery conditions and ensures compliance and maintaining quality management systems such as Global GAP and ISO 22000.
Rob Van Winden | Coordinator Precision Feeding at Agrifirm
Rob has studied at Wageningen University where he obtained a master's degree in Biosystems Engineering in 2013. After his graduation he started as a Management Trainee at Agrifirm. Since 2015 he is active as Coordinator Precision Feeding, in which role he connects business demands to internal and external Research and Development activities within the Agrifirm Innovation Centre.
Martin Grift | General Director AgruniekRijnvallei
Martin Grift is the director of AgruniekRijnvallei. Besides bearing the final responsibility for the entire company he also has some special attention areas: AR Plant, Centrale Adviesdienst Fruitteelt (CAF) and AR Winkels. Martin pays special attention to association affairs, communication, human resources and the financial organization. Furthermore, Martin performs a number of supervisory directorships on behalf of AR. He is also chairman of Nevedi, the organization that represents the interests of the Dutch Animal Feed Industry.
Peter De Letter | Product Manager BESTMIX Premix and Ration Formulation
Peter De Letter is a Bio-Engineer, with a master in Environmental Technology. He started working on the development of an Environmental Decision Support System for waste water treatment plants. This brought him to the software world. Since 2007 he shifted to software for the animal feed industry and started working at Adifo in 2010. Peter combines the position of senior consultant and product manager for ration formulation and premix industries. He has a passion for working together with the customers to make the industry more efficient, bringing new solutions to the market.
Lenny Dauw | Head of Product Management at Adifo
After finalizing his Bio-engineer studies in 2004, Lenny Dauw started working as a BESTMIX consultant for Adifo. In 2009 he became responsible for the BESTMIX implementation team, while still being involved in more complex BESTMIX implementations.
In 2016 the customer service was also integrated in the BESTMIX implementation team and as of January 2018 Lenny is also responsible for the Product management department of Adifo.
Alex Roelvink | CEO Adifo Software
Having been active in ICT for more than 30 years, Alex Roelvink is passionate about furthering Adifo’s mission of adding value to nutrition industries. Alex has a degree in Applied Mathematics & Engineering and has worked in several management and board functions, in which he has gathered a vast experience in designing and delivering high performance robust ICT systems in transactional and business Intelligence environments. Alex has set up and managed several ICT product companies before he took over the position of CEO at Adifo last June. Thanks to his ICT background, experience and insight, he has a strong feeling for exploring and developing cloud solutions and new business models.
